What do you do at ideal4Finance?
I work within the Compliance Team who ensure all due diligence checks are completed for any current or potential clients, with this being either online checks, document checks or ongoing monitoring checks.
Describe a typical day for you
Doing checks on incoming contracts and due diligence checks prior to signing. Completing onboarding tasks to ensure a smooth process for new clients to become live and start using their finance facility. Various due diligence checks on current clients to ensure they remain within FCA guidelines. My role varies massively day-to day which keeps it fresh and challenging at the same time.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety of work and the team. After never being in a job/workplace where it felt like I belonged, I have really found my niche and career path within Ideal4Finance. My position really allows my brain to flow and my ideas to be heard.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Game Designer or RE teacher.
What keeps you busy/happy outside of work?
My newborn twins and 2-year-old keep me extremely busy. I enjoy going on day trips with the family, a simple walk in the fresh air with them or good food with friends. Outside of my family, I enjoy playing darts, football and watching films, with a touch of gaming when I can.
If you were stranded on a desert island, which three items would you want with you?
Any book about Bob Mortimer, an instrument like a guitar or bass, and a picture of my family.

Ham, cheese and Branston pickle sandwiches (with a bag of crisps)
